I look at where the propaganda machine is taking us and I think is this deja vu. It looks like we are headed for a world like the Mormon world I came from. A world where the leadership twist and turn to put all their lies behind them by blaming the followers for misunderstanding.
Trump says he was just kidding and we are just supposed to feel stupid for not getting the joke and never question his response. His defenders defend him by saying that he is not who he presents himself as, and he won't do the things he says he will.
To live in that world, you need to be someone like my Mormon mother who would never think of questioning her Mormon leadership. She told me once "it's all so deep, it's a good thing we have a prophet to show us the way". She told me on another occasion - when I was taking a class on hypnotism - "I would never let anyone control my mind!" She could not see the irony.
I feel like nothing has changed and the disease is spreading!!
