I have spent my life witnessing the symptoms of man's possession of his fellow man. When this possession is carried out by the left it has been called the Stockholm Syndrome. When it is imposed on us by the right it is just called that good old religion, government, central banking, or by whatever name attached to the mask the right is wearing to deceive us. After breaking free of the social bondage my people imposed on me, I found the same patterns of deception in all our social orders. Common decency is the most uncommon thing on earth and has been replaced by common deception that is now the most common behavior of man.
Our desire to be cared for by a virtuous leader and not have to think for ourselves makes it easy to possess us. We become possessed by anyone that will tell us what we think we want to hear, and that is - more likely than not - something we have been told we want to hear by those possessing us.
The Universe (to some, God) sends us children that are farther and farther to the left, in an attempt to break this pattern of deception. But our right has in place a social censor they have built into our social program which makes anything that doesn't conform to the right seem evil. So we drive these non conformists - sent to save us from ourselves - to the fringes of society and declare them the problem. My mother saw me as a test of her faith and was able to keep a closed mind by fighting off every attempt of mine to enlighten her. Impervious to reason, these closed-minded people posture knowledge and act as a beacon to the young and impressionable, dragging the next generation into the trap.
Jesus, in an attempt to free the Jews who were possessed by the law was seen as the problem by the Jewish leaders and was brought to the Romans to be disposed of. Then Paul put on the mask of Jesus and possessed the gentiles. At what point does the Universe give up on saving what little awareness mankind possesses, and just destroy us so we don't spread this maddness!
