The common man

   There are two types of mankind, those that care about others and those that don't.  We also have two directions, the left are those that face the future and the right are those that cling to the past. The middle ground is held by the majority, those that care about others, and they are the common man.  The ruthless aspect of mankind are the minority, those that only care about themselves.   They are to the far right and the far left, feeding on the middle.  The common man is stuck between the empowered greedy right and the UN-empowered needy left.   Both of which are the same, desperately needing the common man to do their bidding because they can only survive if we support them.  The right tell us that it is the left that are the problem.  They tell us this because the right are afraid the left will organize into gangs, and threaten the established gangs to the right.  They don't fear us (the common man) because they know we care about them and they can use that to deceive us, because our caring focuses our attention on them, putting them in control of us.  I don't think the left are a threat to the common man's survival, sitting on the corner with a tin cup.  The right, on the other hand, sitting in their oval offices with their hand on the nuclear destruct button, saying do our bidding or else, do worry me.
